The pool was clean and well-maintained. We spent more time there than at the beach, which was crowded, but warm and clear, lots of fish for the kids to see.
This family-run hotel offers a restaurant, bar and garden. All air-conditioned rooms come with an LCD satellite TV and free Wi-Fi. Ricadi is 2.5 mi away.

Great family welcome
A boutique hotel/restaurant about 15 mins drive from the center of Tropea but very close to a beach at Capo Vaticano, with a shuttle bus taking you there twice a day.
Rooms were as described and very clean, no frills but provided everything we needed on our 7 night stay. We ate at the restaurant four nights and enjoyed the local Calabrian cooking and wines a lot
As other reviewers note, the owner Ignazio and the staff are very welcoming. All were helpful, especially Pepe the pizza chef with whom we made a deal and he drove us where we need to go for several days which was very helpful
The train station is 5 mins away and great for exploring other towns BUT the last train is around 9:00pm so not good for later nights. When you arrive by train in the dark you have to walk through a pitch black cornfield for a couple of mins, but that just made our experience more fun
The local beach is fine. No longer free as a 15 euro daily charge has been introduced but they didn't charge us in the end.
What really makes the place though is the owner, his family and staff who make you so welcome, like staying with family. The owner's dad is the sweetest man and his daughter, Elizabeta, was fun - especially getting us to try all the Italian liquors.
The 'shuttle' from the airport cost 100euro so if you can find a way to get to Capo Vaticano by train it's much cheaper
We will remember the warm welcome and friends we made much.
Overlooking Stromboli Volcano and the Eolian Islands, this resort is set on the Tyrrhenian Coast of Calabria, 6.2 mi from Tropea. The property includes a private beach and a sea-water pool.

Posizione eccellente. Panorama suggestivo. Pulizia perfetta.

Anlage war super. Poolbereich sehr schön angelegt.

great sea for snorkeling but sometimes jellyfish on Grotticelle beach (very painful for kids) - in Tropea no jellyfish and calm sea all the times.
in summer has the area problems with water supply - before check-in ask the owner of the property of the state of water in the tanks (we had bad luck in July, our apartment ran out of water twice a week - very stressful)
the beaches of Capo Vaticano are available by car (parking is for 1,50 Eur/hour) or on foot 20min walk downhill (but up the hill in hot weather is guite a challenge)
snorkeling in this sea is like in an aquarium :-)

The rooms were clean, nicely decorated and spacious.
The rooms were clean, nicely decorated and spacious. The wifi and speed was amazing. The food was good. The breakfast was not entirely free as the website suggests. The lunch buffet was delicious and loved the female bartender at the snack shack by the pool who helped us. The hotel was not a 4 star as it states and the neighbourhood surrounding the hotel is poor and run down, not safe to walk around at night. There is no iron available for hotel guests. The hotel pool needs to be fixed and maintained. The tiles are missing throughout the pool and the pool has algae growing on the side tiles. The beach made up for the pool. We had to buy towels as the hotel did not supply towels for pool/beach, 10 Euros a towel at the local market. The ocean floor is rocky and slimy and its very difficult to get in. We were not prepared to deal with the rockiness of the beach and needed to buy water shoes.

It is a resort where you will enjoy your time even if you don’t want to step outside of the property. Lush gardens, excellent pool area, cozy bar and lunch restaurant and beautiful outdoor setting for dinner. There is a separate entertaining facility for kids with animators, a well equipped gym, small boutique, bike rental, and of course the beach with beds and clean towels! Staff members are very kind and supportive.

One of the most stunning coastlines I have visited, I’ve traveled to many exotic places but this was simply naturally stunning. Water and beach perfect. Hunt out private parking much cheaper than the meter.
We have since returned for a second trip and sure it will be a regular on our wish list.
Do yourself a favor and pop in to Eden Village for some amazing food, mainly European delights not just Italian ..

Nice beaches with dramatic background but be aware that this place is full of holiday spending Italians (which is good as this place is still real Italian one) bringing with it lots of cars, people, loud parties of very low quality, and surprisingly enough very low quality of pizza and pasta in many restaurants primarily set up just for the season (I guess plumbers and carpenters are cooking there). If people in my country would be served food I was served in several pizzerias in Capo Vaticano they would never come again and the places would go bankrupt. Sad.... as this has nothing to do with excellent Italian cuisine I was served in Italian cities.

Beautiful Beaches.....
Beautiful Beaches.....Best to go early Morning or late Afternoon as its not so hot. Local Produce Wonderful, but it pays to buy direct from Producers or from the Small Villages, (Shops in the Towns and by beach more expensive and not so good). You need to have a car to be truly mobile, but the train services are quite good and Cheap, (If a little overfilled!)
Location, most of the staff
The hotel was good. If the specific problems that I explained was not happened for the selected room, the rate could be more than 9.
The staff was kind and tried the best to create a happy time during the stay.
My friend that was staying in another hotel, exactly near this hotel (since this hotel was full), joined some hours with me in the seaside. I informed the staff to pay for my friend, and they kindly told me there is no problem if your guest use your specific place in the seaside.
Baia del Godano probably comes as close to a South Sea resort as you can get in Italy. Nice apartments/rooms, a restaurant by the sea with very nice food, the best choices for breakfast we had during our round trip, a well-kept flower/garden zone, a private beach, an open air fitness center and a very kind receptionist who, among other things, organized our parking at our next stop in Matera. Yes, it was expensive, but it was well worth it.
We didn't order breakfast so I can't rate it but I stayed with my daughter in a beautiful villa with a beautiful garden. The accommodation was above standard. The owners are incredibly nice, accommodating and friendly people, including children. We will never forget them and they were like our friends. The location is unique and there is the most beautiful sea in all of Italy, turquoise green with clear water and fish.
The property is well located near the beach, impeccable cleanliness and there is a large outdoor area with spectacular views of the coast, large barbecue and home grown vegetables. I'd like to highlight especially the kindness and friendliness of the property owners Pasquale and Antonella: they were available and supportive at all times. Thank you so much!! We had a wonderful stay.
The location is fantastic with stunning sea views. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room itself was comfortable offering everything we needed for our stay. Breakfast was OK but the setup could be improved, due to COVID restrictions the hotel was serving from a small service door that was a little awkward with the other hotel guests.
We spent 1 week at Midenza and we loved it sooo much! it’s a beautiful resort, with great facilities (gym is very cool) and awesome food! we especially loved the entire staff, Antonio and his team provide the best guest experience you could imagine. we will definitely be back at Midenza :)
Very nice apartment, clean, nice surroundings of the villa. We especially appreciate the owner Anna Maria, who is very helpful, warm, smiling and communicative, she gave us all the necessary information. We were very satisfied with our stay at Capo Vaticano.
The best view in Capo Vaticano that is undeniable. The pool is great, restaurant on premises, parking easy and free and incredibly helpful staff. Walkable private beach! The return is a bit challenging but so worth it!
Loved swimming in the pool, and they had a delicious breakfast and dinner options at the restaurant. Staff was very helpful and we enjoyed seeing the animals they have eon the property. Free shuttle to the beach!
Locations and views are unbelievable. Cabanas are beautifully built, Mediterranean style, and a private road easily bring you to the beach either walking or by car
The rooms were spacious and the view of the ocean was magical. The room was also very clean. We loved spending time in the large pool and being close to Tropea.
